#43 | Being on the Edge: Transition, Vulnerability & Truth with Leanna Jane Lewis
About This Episode
In this episode Leanna will share how she found the courage to make the biggest change of her life: following her calling, stepping into the unknown and walking away from her old job and identity. Her story takes us through the trauma of birth and death and the fear that comes with being on the edge of change.
When Leanna was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, she decided to go to teacher’s college. However, her teaching job was keeping her from her children; she was only seeing her daughter for an hour and a half each day. Leanna was miserable being away from her daughter, so she decided it was a no-brainer, something in her life had to change.
“Shifting from the fear to the excitement is just showing up every day and doing it. It’s just showing up.”
She left a field that she had spent two decades in, moved her family out of the city, and started her own business. Leanna found that her fear quickly turned to excitement every day that she made the decision to show up and move forward. She is now a life coach, yoga instructor, and women’s empowerment leader. And with two children, her own business, and a sick father, she is still facing fear every day.
“I get to be who I want to be… and I get to recreate my interpretation of that every day.”
“We all need to feel playful and peaceful in our lives. Leanna brings that to you, challenging you, loving you all up and pushing you out of the nest to fly when you’re ready. Leanna truly believes that life can be easy, filled with joy and peace, even in between diaper changes, rushed dinners and mad-crazy moments.
Leanna’s focus is relieving you of the anxiety that bottles up and the stress that begs us to ask if there’s another way. At the heart, Leanna’s purpose is to invite you to live your most conscious life, living in the present with intention and honoring your soul’s purpose.”
“Femininity is being you without asking for permission.”
