#11 | Saturn Returns and How To Deal With Midlife Crisis with Louise Cottrell of

Does it sometimes feel like your world is turning upside down? Relax, you’re not the only one. Apparently, there is an explanation.

Saturn Returns.

Or you’re simply hitting your midlife crisis. Whatever it is – you need to listen to this episode. Louise Cottrell shares her journey of chilling out through life challenges and struggles. And no, she’s not a life coach. In fact, she’s a Pinterest Coach obsessed with personal growth. And she has figured out the formula for staying content and happy through the storm. At least for now.

WTF is Saturn returns?

As explained nicely in this article on Huffington Post, “it is a crisis that will put you face-to-face with your deepest fears. Everything you thought you wanted comes into question, as you realize you are not who, what or where you want to be. The longer, more elaborate version: This is the astrological period of our life when the planet Saturn completes its orbit around the Sun, coinciding with the time of our birth. It happens every 29.5 years, so if you have skated by in your late 20s, this period could get you in your late 50s. Now’s the time to get prepared!”

And what a better way to get prepared than to listen to a podcast episode where we discuss these in detail?

Louise has been living in different countries around the world since 2008 and pursued a Master’s Degree in Library Science (yes, that degree exists but she never finished it.)

Her Saturn was clearly returning when she started questioning her life purpose, her relationships, and surroundings. Louise encourages to practice self-acceptance and training that muscle. Letting go of what is bothering you.

Quotes from this episode:

“Nothing changed, it’s just me who got over it through therapy, programs, retreats, books. Everybody is on their own path and we’re taking different routes. It’s not a race.”

“No one does the healing for you – they might just be facilitating and offering guidance, but ultimately, you are the responsible one.”

“If you want to learn about yourself and improve, you can’t be putting yourself down.”

“There is a feminine model of business where business comes to you instead of hunting it (as the masculine would do it.) “
